Who We Are

Based in Dayton, Ohio, Blue's Mews is a small volunteer-based 501(c)3 cat rescue service, dedicated to assisting cats and kittens of all ages and breeds.  We use foster homes for our animals to provide them with a warm and loving environment from which to be adopted.  While in our care, they receive excellent vet care, ensuring they have the best possible start.  We are dedicated to making life easier for the animals who love and trust us and look to us for their safety, security and happiness. The problems are large and we are small, but we try hard to make a difference for cats at risk. 

The requested donation for specialty cats is $250, and $200 for standard kittens and cats up to 2-years old.  Included in this amount are the kitty's spay/neuter, initial rabies shot, all applicable birth-to-one-year FVRCP and FeLeuk vaccinations (or all currently-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year), deworming, flea treatment, wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping.  In addition to being fully vetted, we work hard to make sure all our cats and kittens are socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty!

Our included services provide significant value and major potential savings to adopters!  If done on your own, these services would typically range in cost from $250-450, depending on your veterinary clinic.  If for some reason the cat or kitten doesn't fit in with your lifestyle, we will take it back, no questions asked.
